Hi, I was born in Manchester UK more years than I care to think about and though I'm back in Manchester I've lived in many parts of the UK.

As I've travelled around I've followed many trades and occupations, though never as a train driver or circus worker.These have included a draftsman, a joiner, and general building worker, a driver, a forestry worker. Then when my body started to object I trained as a clock restorer.

At present I'm an on-line bookseller becoming even more laid back by indulging my long held dream of writing and more to the point, finding if I still can write. Although following a recent stroke my writing has fallen by the wayside for now. 

My intention when I started on Hubpages was to stir clear of politics. I find myself more and more being drawn into political discussion.
